Application: The Rota-Freeze is a full-scale horizontal freezing drum for test work. It is used to obtain operational data, to establish a basis for design of industrial-size systems and to produce product for quality evaluation. The drum freezer is primarily used for freezing liquid and pasty products.
Capacity: The freezing capacity is up to 150 kg/h and the temperature after freezing can be as low as –50°C. The capacity depends on the refrigerant temperature, rotation speed and product layer thickness.
Specification: The diameter and the length of the drum are both 1 m, which means that the drum has an area of 3.15 m2. The minimum temperature of the refrigerant is 55°C.
The drum freezer is provided with an oscillating nozzle and a levelling roller to ensure even product layering and with a detaching device to remove the frozen product.
