Vimmerby in Sweden was chosen as the site for Arla
Food's green-field factory for production of instant whole milk
powder for export. The factory will be producing close to 400,000 tons milk
annually resulting in almost 50,000 tons of instant whole milk powder.
Niro was chosen as the main contractor for this new factory along with other
members of the GEA Process Engineering Division. Most of the machinery and
equipment is installed and the plant will be commissioned late
2004. During Spring of 2005 the plant will be in full
production.
