Gas Jet Ventilators employ a gas, often air, as the motive medium, to extract and convey exhaust gases. They are often used where the gas to be extracted is corrosive, thus more exotic materials are required, meaning that an equivalent mechanical fan would be expensive and subject to breakdown.
