Compact Gas Scrubbers employ a jet scrubber as the first stage, doing 90-95% of the scrubbing duty, followed by a separator and packed column finishing section. They are of compact design, often employing a heat exchanger in the circulating scrubbing liquor line to remove any heat of reaction, mounted on a recirculation tank. GEA Jet Pumps have a standard range of packages, with suction inlets from DN100 to DN250, handling suctions flows up to 1500 m3/h, but larger units with greater scrubbing capacities are also available.
