Laboratory Gas Scrubbers employ a jet scrubber as the first
stage, doing 90-95% of the scrubbing duty, followed by a separator and packed
column finishing section. They are of compact design, often employing a heat
exchanger in the circulating scrubbing liquor line to remove any heat of
reaction, mounted on a recirculation tank. They are available in a range of
scrubbing capacities from small, bench-top models (LGW40), to larger mobile
units (LGW50, LGW80), mounted on wheels for easy movement.
