Jet Scrubbers employ a Liquid Jet Ejector as the first stage,
employing the selected scubbing liquor as the motive medium, thus they are the
only type of scrubber that impart a pressure gain, rather than a pressure loss
across the unit. The type 1 jet scrubber has a Liquid Ejector stage followed by
a separator section, whereas the type II, the liquid ejector is integrated
within the same shell as the separator section.
