Product vapour driven jet vacuum pumps employ vapours
other than steam as the motive medium, but in all other respects are exactly as
conventional steam jet vacuum pumps. The benefit of this type of unit is that
they while retain all the advantages of conventional ejector sets, that is no
moving parts, minimal maintenance requirement, tolerant to fouling, etc., any
condensate producted is liquid product and may be returned to the process, thus
effluent is eliminated from consideration. These units have been supplied
employing Ethylene Glycol, MonoChloroBenzene, Toluene, Butanol, and many other
motive media.
